What you manage from NaoShift Core
The portal has no database and no business logic: everything is administered in the console.
Tenants and VDCs
One tenant per customer, one or more virtual datacenters per tenant, each attached to a cluster or pool and to an allocation model.
Quotas and capabilities
Quotas per virtual datacenter, snapshot ceilings, capabilities opened or closed operation by operation (provisioning, power, console, snapshot, network, deletion).
Catalog
Templates published per tenant, size presets, address ranges per customer.
Rate cards
Versioned rate cards, assignment per tenant, specific terms: discount, commitment, trial, minimum. Billing basis on vCPU or memory, your choice.
Usage statements
Usage segments measured continuously, frozen monthly statements exportable as CSV, JSON or signed webhook to your billing tool. NaoShift does not issue invoices.
Brand, language, maintenance
Brand domain, logo, colors checked for accessibility, language chosen by the user, maintenance windows with banner or read-only mode.
Isolation is created on the hypervisor, not only displayed
For each virtual datacenter, NaoShift creates the isolation primitives on the platform: resource pool, dedicated VLAN network, native account with restricted rights. Every order sent to the hypervisor carries a signed envelope naming the tenant, the virtual datacenter and the identity of the targeted machine.

An administration plane already in place
NaoShift Portal builds on NaoShift Core: multi-hypervisor agent, locked capabilities, audit, remote console. The portal adds tenancy, quotas and metering, not a second stack.
Proxmox VE and XCP-ng
The platforms hosting providers migrate to after the end of the VCSP program. Proxmox VE is available; XCP-ng follows.
A thin front end
The portal is a front end without a database, deployable as one or several instances, one operator per instance. A compromised front end never crosses operators.
Frequently asked questions
Proxmox VE (8.1 and later) is available. XCP-ng, through Xen Orchestra, is being designed and will be announced as soon as a date is reliable. The NaoShift Core administration console itself covers VMware vSphere, Proxmox VE and XCP-ng.
